Academic and Industry Experience:
After receiving my PhD from Case Western Reserve University on signal transduction pathways contributing to the pathogenesis of glioblastomas, I followed an academic research path. My post-doctoral training was at University of Pennsylvania and then at Oregon Health & Science University focusing on the molecular pathology of cancer. I eventually moved to a start-up chemistry-based drug discovery company in Seattle where I established a biology division, focussed on identification of pharmacologic targets of small molecule inhibitor drugs. With years of academic, teaching, and industry experience, I bring my diligent work ethic to every medical writing project. In addition to oncology, I write on a broad range of therapeutic areas including cardiology, endocrinology, rare genetic diseases, to name just a few.

My creative/balancing interests include graphic design (having taken credit courses at Pacific Northwest College of Art), writing and reading poetry, hiking/backpacking, gardening, and taking photographs in this glorious part of the world that I call home. And, I am also very grateful to be a member of the pinksocks tribe, a community of people making a positive impact in the world through gifting, connecting, and caring.
